The room is primarily designed for two-person podcasts and interviews, whether you’re recording your first episode, welcoming a guest or creating content for your business.

3 Blackmagic Studio Cameras

Three camera angles capture the room and each speaker, giving you flexibility when putting your episode together.

Your Choice of Shure Microphones

Choose handheld or stand-mounted Shure microphones to suit your recording style. Your engineer will check positioning and sound levels before you begin.

Studio Lighting

Your engineer adjusts the lighting to suit the session, helping create a consistent, professional look across all three camera angles.

Elgato Teleprompter

Keep your script or talking points in front of you while looking towards the camera. Useful for introductions, presentations, tutorials and scripted videos.

Beyerdynamic Headphones

Studio headphones are available for monitoring audio and hearing remote guests when your recording format requires them.

Arrive & Settle In

We’ll welcome you to Hop House, show you to the studio and run through what you’re planning to record. Complimentary refreshments are available for you and your guest.

Get Ready to Record

Your engineer will check the sound, adjust the camera framing and help you get comfortable with the microphones. There’s no need to know how the equipment works.

Focus on the Conversation

We’ll monitor the recording while you host. You can record one longer conversation or several episodes within your booked time just allow for breaks and any changes between recordings.

Before You Visit.

How many people can record?

The studio is primarily set up for two-person podcasts and interviews. A third participant may be possible depending on your requirements, so please contact us before booking.

Do I need to bring any equipment?

We provide the cameras, microphones, lighting and recording equipment. Bring your notes or questions, and let us know beforehand if you have any specific technical requirements.

Is the video edited live?

We record the camera feeds separately so they can be combined during editing afterwards. Live camera switching is not included in the standard studio booking.

Can I use my own editor?

Yes. Your booking includes delivery of the raw recording files, which you can edit yourself or share with your chosen editor.

When should I arrive?

Please follow the arrival time in your booking information. We normally recommend arriving 5–15 minutes before your session so you have time to settle in.

Is parking available?

Yes, free on-site parking is available. Please let us know in advance if your group will be arriving in more than two vehicles so we can discuss arrangements.

Can I bring someone who isn’t recording?

Yes. Each person taking part in the recording is welcome to bring one additional guest, such as a colleague, producer or friend. If either of you would like to bring more than one guest, please let us know before booking so we can confirm there’s enough space.

Our studio is at Woodgate Farm Oast, around three minutes from the M2, Junction 5. There’s a large, free car park around the back of the building.
