How It Works

You Bring The Conversation. We’ll Take Care of The Recording.

Book your session, then focus on the conversation while our engineer takes care of the recording.

1 - Book Your Session Online

Choose your date, time and session length, from 30 minutes up to six hours. Studio recording is £60 per hour, with payment taken when you book. You can also choose your microphone preference, request the teleprompter, tell us if you’ll be recording with a remote guest and add editing to your session.

Planning something other than a podcast? Email us before booking so we can discuss your format and any equipment or preparation it needs. You’re also welcome to get in touch about access requirements, additional attendees or anything you’re unsure about.

2 - Arrive and Make Yourself Comfortable

Please arrive 5–15 minutes before your booking. There’s a large, free car park around the back of Hop House. Come through the main entrance, where a member of the team will welcome you at reception. If reception is unattended, ring the bell and someone will come to help.

We’ll take you upstairs to the studio, show you around and run through what you’re planning to record. There’s time to get comfortable, have some water and ask any questions before we begin. Your engineer will prepare the cameras, check your microphone levels and adjust the lighting and framing for your session. You don’t need to bring recording equipment or know how to operate it.

Bringing someone along?

The standard set-up is for two people recording. Each person can bring one non-recording guest. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring more people. Please note: The studio is upstairs, with stairs only and no lift or step-free access. Contact us before booking if you have access requirements.
